Bay Area SAA Recovery Resources

The Promises

If we are painstaking about this phase of our development, we will be amazed before we are half way through. We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness. We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it. We will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace. No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience can benefit others. That feeling of uselessness and selfpity will disappear. We will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in our fellows. Self-seeking will slip away. Our whole attitude and outlook upon life will change. Fear of people and of economic insecurity will leave us. We will intuitively know how to handle situations which used to baffle us. We will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves.

Are these extravagant promises? We think not. They are being fulfilled among us—sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly. They will always materialize if we work for them.

A Sponsors Workshop

Saturday, August 26, 2017 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. California Pacific Medical Center, Davies Campus North Tower, Level B1, Room B (Next to the cafeteria)

There is a wealth of sponsoring experience, knowledge and skills that reside within individual sponsors in our fellowship. This workshop endeavors to share this breath of experience from one sponsor to another, throughout the fellowship. Its aim is to help potential and new sponsors with fundamental skills and understandings that will smooth the transition from sponsee to sponsor. In addition we can offer and share fresh approaches to sponsors who have long term experience. The object of this workshop is to answer questions, share experiences, and to help those of us who are sponsors the opportunity to enhance our ability to reach out to our fellows and guide them in recovery.

C.P.M.C. is located at Castro St. & Duboce Ave. in San Francisco. If you are traveling from the East Bay, take BART to Civic Center and transfer to the Metro N Judah Line and get off at Dubose St./Noe St. at Dubose Park. Walk 1/2 block west to C.P.M.C.
